Cute Little Easter Card

Hello everyone!  Hope everyone is having a great day.  Today I am sharing an Easter card I made today.
I used the CAS(E) this Sketch for a start.
I used two dies from My Creative Time to cut the egg shell and chick (I cut the egg to look cracked) and I used a trimming from a leaf die,by My Creative Time, to create a little bit of feather on the top of the chick's head (you can barely see this).  The chick comes out of the egg shell and is stamped with a sentiment and I used a portion of a stamp from the My Creative Time stamps & die set to stamp the face on the chick.  You can see this below.
I have placed a magnet on the back of the chick so that someone can place this on their refrigerator, if they would like.  The sentiment that is stamped on the card is from Jaded Blossom.  I loved the way this card turned out and I will be placing it in the mail tomorrow.  I hope you enjoyed this card and thanks for stopping  by to take a look at this card today.  If you enjoyed this card, please browse my other posting and consider becoming a follower.   Thanks again.

I will be submitting my card into the following challenges:

Birthday Layout

Hello, everyone!  I hope everyone is having a great day.  Today I am sharing a layout I created for another of my son's birthday, William.  I know, I have  been busy with birthdays this month.  William turned 7 years old yesterday, but his dad had to work so he decided to wait until tomorrow to celebrate.  So tomorrow morning I will be baking a cake for him.  I created a cute layout to celebrate his 7th birthday.
The balloons were cut from the Celebrations Cricut cartridge and the Sentiment, Happy Birthday, was cut from the Paper Lace Cricut cartridge.  I use several dies to cut the tickets and the photo frames.  The tickets were stamped with the coordinating My Favorite Things stamps.  I am submitting this into the following challenges:
Fantabulout Cricut Challenge #153
My Creative Time Designer Challenge Tic Tac Toe ( I used dies, button, patterned paper, hemp/ribbon, machine die cut, burlap for pocket and machine stitching, and there is even some embossing created with the punch used to create the scalloped layer)

Please take some time to stop by and view the designer's projects for each site.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed the layout.  Please be sure to become a follower if you enjoyed this and thanks again for stopping by.

Anniversary Card

Hello, everyone!  I know you haven't heard from me in a few days, but my kids have been on spring break and I have been spending some time with them.  My parents have their 40th wedding anniversary at the end of this month and have made a card for them and I am going to share it with you today.   I have used a sketch provided by Cuttlebug Mania and a card from the Muse Challenge for inspiration.  I used the stripes in a horizontal strip and in my flowers from the Muse Challenge for inspiration.  I did not use the blue/green color combination however.
I used the Sizzix Holiday Elegance embossing folder to emboss the cream portion of the card.  I also used my Cuttlebug to cut the flowers and greenery from Tim Holtz dies, the label die (Jaded Blossom die and sentiment) that my sentiment is stamped on and the center circle that is cut with My Favorite Things Circle Stax die.   I tried to use some patterned papers that had ruby or red shades (the traditional gift for a 40th wedding anniversary is Ruby).  I think my parents will love this card.

I hope you have enjoyed this card and thanks for stopping by.  If you like what you see, please consider becoming a follower.  Please be sure to stop by the following links, I am submitting this card into these challenges:

3 Ring Circus Layout

Hi!  The past two days have been beautiful here and my kids have started their Spring Break.  Today I am sharing a layout I just completed for my youngest son's first birthday. Wednesday, I made a cake and some cupcakes for Edward's birthday.  When we got finished singing Happy Birthday to him and gave him his cupcake, he was immediately surrounded by siblings that wanted to help him with his cupcake.  He did not eat a bite until they all left him alone with his cupcake.  I was busy loading the dishwasher and then looked over at him and he had dug into his cupcake.  I guess, he couldn't handle all the attention when trying to eat his first cupcake and he needed some alone time with his cupcake. He may my only child that doesn't like to be the center of attention in this three ring circus I call my life.
I used a set from Technique Tuesday for the stamping, I chose this for the title because I got a picture of Edward smiling with chocolate icing all over his face (too cute).  I used the Circle Stax dies from Die-namics to cut the many circles.  The light blue circles were embossed and then inked with Faded Denim ink.  I am going to use the gridded circle for my journaling (which I should have already done).  The largest circle is for his picture.  I used My Creative Time dies for the cupcake.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed the layout.

I am submitting this into the weekly Hiding in My Craft Room Challenge-89, --you were two use three different designer paper on your project.  I think I actually used four from my pack.  I had a lot of fun with this and I enjoyed checking out the design teams projects.  You may want to take a look at their work, it was really inspiring.  If you are new to my sight and enjoy what you have seen, please become a follower.  Thanks for stopping by!

Pink and Brown Birthday Card

Hello!  Hope everyone is having a nice day.  It is gorgeous here.  Today, I am sharing a card I created for someone dear to my kids, their grandmother.  :)  They are more excited about her birthday than she is; I am sure.  I used predominately pink and brown colors for this card and I did not use my Cricut at all.  I only used my Cuttlebug to do some embossing and to cut a few dies.
I used Tattered Flowers and Tattered Leaves for the flower and the small amount of greenery.  The white frame was cut from a My Creative Time die, but it was embossed before cutting.  The tags were also cut from My Creative Time dies.  I also created the large brad that was used for the largest flower with my i-topper tool.  I used a Jaded Blossom stamp to place a sentiment inside the card, seen below.
I am submitting this card into the Cuttlebug Mania Challenge.  Please consider stopping by and checking out the challenge this week.  I hope you enjoyed the card and thanks for stopping by to take a peek.  If you like what you have seen here today, leave me a comment and let me know and please consider becoming a follower.  Thanks again.

St. Patrick's Day Card

Hello!  Today, I am sharing a card that I made for my partents and grandmother; I made two cards exactly the same.  I already have them addressed, just have to put them out in the mailbox.  I used the Muse Challenge #8  card as inspiration ( I will paste a copy of the card used for inspiration at the end of the post).  I used the center cut out and the cording as a guide for me.  My card is St. Patrick's Day themed and I love the way it turned out.
I used a Martha Stewart punch for the center white section.  I used pop dots on that section also.  I cut a clover from A Child's Year Cricut cartridge and place it in the center of the circle that I cut out with my new Die-Namic circle stax dies (I got these at Scrapbooker's Emporium and I LOVE them).  Instead of cording, I used green and white twine.  I used a Jaded Blossom stamp from the Luck of the Irish set for the sentiment.    Oh, one more thing I did that is not easily noticed; I placed some vellum beneath the circle cut out.  This muted the pattern beneath it.  Below is the card by Therese Calvird that was the inspiration for the card I created today:
I am submitting my card into the following challenges:
            Muse Member Challenge #8
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at what I have created today.  If you are interested in other St. Patrick's Day themed items please take a look at a few of my other posts.  I have shared my Leprechaun Bait, a layout and another card in the last week or so of posts and if you like what you see, please become a follower and leave a comment.  Thanks again.

Team Spirit Layout

Hello!  I hope is everyone had a nice weekend.  Today, I am sharing a layout that I created for my son's football season last year.  I know this may not be football season, but I did want to get this done before I forgot.  I have not gotten my son's team picture yet, we should get them Friday and I wanted to be sure that I got them in a scrapbook album.
I used by Cricut to cut the helmet from the Sportsmania cartridge, the stars and the banner.  I used several different stamps sets in this layout:  Jaded Blossom Sports Kisses, Karen Foster (not sure which set) and Tim Holtz set for the stamped stars, and two different sets of Technique Tuesday (borderlines and Game Night).
I sanded my photo mattings and inked the edges.  I used a ticket stamp to create my journaling areas.  Not only did my oldest son play ball but my oldest daughter was the team manager.  My son wanted to sure to put a picture of his sister on the layout doing her part to support the team.
I hope you enjoyed this layout and thanks for stopping by.  If you like what you see please become a follower and leave a comment.  Thanks again and come back soon.

Easter Milk Cartons

Hi, everyone!  I hope you are having a great day.  I have been busy today.  I have created 6 small Easter milk cartons that are filled with Bunny Tails (mini-marshmallows).  I used my Imagine to print the papers I used, Blossom cartridge, and the Notebook Doodle to cut the milk carton and the bunny was cut from the Gypsy Wanderings.  I used several other cartridges to create the other pieces on my milk cartons.  I made two with pink prints, I have two daughters, and I made 4 with green/blue prints, for my 4 sons.  I only photographed two of the cartons.
Each one of the cartons is a different pattern, so that each child will have a different carton.  I used Jaded Blossom stamps for all the stamping.  I know that the green, which is my son's, has pink stamping but; my sons are secure enough in their masculinity that the pink stamping will not be a concern.  My oldest son says that "only a real man can wear pink" and he is only 11 years old (pretty wise huh? for an eleven year old).   My husband and I are trying to raise our sons right. :)
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at what I created today.  I hope you enjoyed it and if you did please become a follower.  Thanks again, hope to see you soon.

Hello Spring Card #2

Hello, everyone!  I hope everyone is having a great day.  Today, I would like share a card I created for a friend of mine, Dixie.  I love the colors in this card, especially the aqua.  I used the  Cas(E) Sketch Challenge #18  (http://casethissketch.blogspot.com/2013/03/case-this-sketch-challenge-18.html) sketch to create my card.  Please take some time to stop by and visit their site to see the work the designers are sharing this week.  I wanted to make a bright and cheerful card, and I think I have accomplished that.
I used dies by My Creative Time to cut the eggs and the flower I created.  I also dry embossed one of the eggs to add some texture to the card.  The sentiment in the flower is a My Creative Time and I placed another sentiment (Simple Sayings 2) on the inside of the card by Jaded Blossom (you can see this below).  I think the interior sentiment will bring a smile to my dear friend.  I cut a butterfly from my Cricut, not sure what cartridge, and I scored and slightly folded the wings up.
This is the sketch was provided for this challenge.
I hope you enjoyed the card and thanks for stopping by to take a look at this card.  I am also submitting this card into the CTV Stamps It's So You challenge #26 and the Cuttlebug Mania Butterfly Challenge.  If you have enjoyed visiting my site please become a follower.  Thanks again.

Leprechaun Bait

Hello!  Hope everyone is having a great day.  Today I created a few bags of Leprechaun Bait made up for my children.  You may have seen a previous post, Lucky Liam Layout, where I discussed in detail their St. Patrick's tradition.  Just a little summary, they set out traps for Leprechauns and they use Leprechaun Bait, which is just oatmeal & glitter, to try to catch Liam.
I used A Children's Year Cricut cartridge to cut the clover, and used several other cartridge for the topper.  The tag was cut with  My Creative Time dies.  I used some embroidery floss to tie the button and the tag.  Two of the stamps are by Jaded Blossom.  Below is a close up of the topper.
My kids will love this bait.  I hope you enjoyed my post today and thanks for stopping by.  Please be sure to become a follower if you enjoy my posts.

I am submitting this into the Decorate to Celebrate, be sure to stop by and see all the projects the designers have shared, the My Creative Time Challenge, and the Trendy Twine Challenge.  Thanks again.

Patchwork of Love Scrapbook Layout

Hi!  Hope everyone is having a nice day.  Today I am sharing a scrapbook layout that I just finished up.  Every spring my chiltdren and I have picnics in our yard.  We generally pull out all our quilts and just spend the day outside.  This year my kids are extremely excited because Edward, my youngest son, will get to experience this.  They have already started planning our first picnic.  It doesn't take much to make them happy, right?
This base sheet is Vivacious by Authentique and the vertical strip that looks like quilting is trimmed from the Spirited sheet also by Authentique (this is the Lively collection).  I bought a few sheets from the collection and I got a 6X6 pad at Scrapbooker's Emporium (I realize that the section of the sheet with the name remains on the paper but I may need to have my husband pick a few more sheets and I wanted to be sure I got the name off it before trimming).  They have some great papers and tools there.  They have just started a Scrapbooker's Emporium blog also, I am sure they would love for you to stop by and check things out.    The heart was cut from the Cricut Tags & More cartridge, the white photo matting was cut from the Elegant Edges cartridge, the title from the Type Candy cartridge and the bird was cut from the  Animal Kingdom cartridge.  Whew, that was a mouth full.  I cut several hearts in different colors and then cut parts from each one and stitched them together with my sewing machine and then cut a shadow for that heart with pinking shears.  I used my sewing machine to add stitching to several elements.   Below is a close up shot of the heart that was pieced together.  The stitching is not perfect but that makes it just a little more attractive to me.  This is the first time I tried stitching on a layout and it really added a lot of dimension to this.
I hope you enjoyed the layout and thanks for stopping by.  If you like what you have seen be sure to become a follower.  Please stop by The Fantabulous Cricut Blogspot Bye-Bye Birdie Challenge to check out all the cute cards the designers have created.  Thanks again.

Hoppy-est 1st Birthday Card

Hello, everyone!  Hope you are all well today.  I have created a card today for my youngest son, Edward.  He will be turning 1 year old on the 13th.  Everyone in the family is so excited!  I used the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge for the frog die cut.  I used a My Pink Stamper stamp for the sentiment.  I embossed the blue piece of paper with an embossing folder.  I took a narrow strip of patterned paper, tore the edge and then gathered to paper to create a ruffled edge.  I used some ribbon to cover the transition of the ruffle and embossed areas.
I still have one more card to make for another of my sons, William.  He has a birthday later this month.  So, I have got to get busy on my next birthday card.  I hope you enjoyed the card.  Thanks for stopping by and if you like what you have seen please become a follower.

I am submitting this card to Crafty Cardz Challenge #126 .

Birthday Card with some Bling

Hello!  Hope everyone had a great weekend.  Today I am posting a birthday card that I have made.  I have made this card for my grandmother's birthday.
I used the Forever Young Cricut cartridge to cut the flowers.  The blue frame and shadowed matting were cut from the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge.  The greenery was cut from the Storybook Cricut cartridge.  I used my i-Rock tool to add the bling in the frame.  The tag die and stamp were from My Creative Time.  I  placed buttons in the center of each flower.   I stamped the interior of the card with a simple sentiment of "Have a Happy Birthday!"  I am submitting this card into: Connie Can Crop Monthly Challenge #8 Happy Birthday and Critter Sketch Challenge #154.  Please take some time to see the wonderful creations at Critter Challenge Blog.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you liked the card.
